That leaves 5 gold rings per person on the planet (7 billion people).


Total value of the world’s gold at $1,600/oz = $8,487,797,102,400


Each year, there are about 2,500 metric tons produced.


It is declining from a peak of 2,600 metric tons in 2001.


The top producers of gold are China, USA, Autralia, South Africa, Russia, Peru, Indonesia and Canada.


The central banks with the most gold as a percentage of foreign currency reserves are the Portugal, Greece, Federal Reserve, Germany, Italy, France, Slovakia and Netherlands (Austria and Venezuela are next).
